A Wish

Is it really Christmas already? I cannot believe how quickly this year flew by, and wow was it a wonderful year! Although this year, for me, doesn't feel so much like years past I am very excited that I get to spend this happy time with my family and my first Christmas as Mrs. G:) I am a very lucky girl to have such wonderful sisters, mom, and dad (x2, extra lucky), beautiful nieces and nephews, and the most amazing man and best gift in my life...we have so much fun!

 

I wish for all of you this Holiday, so much laughter, love, and happy tears. I know tears may be a silly wish, but I hope you get the overwhelming wonderful feeling I get when I see my family so happy together, enjoying one another, and reminiscing on all the memories we've created through the years. The happy tears that I try to swallow when I see my niece get so excited to open presents and how darn cute she is doing it...and then an itsy bitsy moment of not so happy tears overcome my heart thinking about how fast she's growing up and how I don't want it to continue, ha ha! I love my happy tears, it makes my heart feel warm and fuzzy and I know tonight or tomorrow I will be having that feeling as we sit around the tree opening presents and sipping on (spiked) egg nog. I hope that no matter what circumstance you may be in this holiday, whether it be happy or sad, you take the time to remind the people in your life how much you love them and how much they mean to you, because more than likely...they want to remind you of the same and for me...that's the best gift ever!
